CPY 7020: Statistical Methods (2021-2022)

Introduces students to introductory statistical concepts such as descriptive statistics, probability and significance testing, t-tests, analysis of variance, correlation, linear prediction, and non-parametric statistics. Explores the null hypothesis, effect size, power analysis, and practical and clinical significance. Emphasizes mathematical derivations of statistics, as well as conceptual understanding in defining research questions, applying appropriate statistics, and interpreting results. Introduces R computer software for statistical analysis.
