Mount Vernon Nazarene University announces a full-time faculty position in Spanish for Fall 2009, contingent upon funding by the University’s Board of Trustees. Responsibilities include teaching a range of courses in Spanish language and literature, supporting majors in Spanish and Spanish secondary education, academic advising and service on university committees. Qualifications include a preference for a Ph.D. in Spanish, evidence of teaching experience and ability, scholarly potential, and ability to support the institution’s mission as an evangelical Christian University in the Wesleyan theological tradition. The ideal replacement candidate would have graduate degrees in both languages.
