How does your time at SPU connect to the work you’re doing today?

Helping companies reach their full potential is enormously rewarding. It requires me to push myself beyond my perceived limits, something I learned to do at SPU. Who knew I could get through all those projects, assignments, classes, speeches, and papers, and live to tell the tale? Looking back on the quality education I received at SPU and recalling how seriously all my professors took the curriculum, I am amazed at how much I was able to accomplish with the support I received.

Who made a difference in your SPU education?

Dr. Bill Purcell valued the learning process and helped his students absorb new ideas and concepts. He really took an interest in making his students think differently. I valued that very much and still remember many of his lessons. He was an incredibly compassionate and impactful educator. Plus, his fantastic taste in bow ties was unparalleled.

What advice do you have for students about life after graduation?

Network as much as possible and get connected with people who you can learn from.
