If your billed statement balance is not paid by the due date on your statement, your account will be considered past due and the following penalties will apply:
- A late fee of 1.25 percent of the owing balance will be assessed after the payment due date.
- You will not be able to register for future quarters or obtain diplomas until your account is in good standing.
- If you were on a payment plan, you will be removed from the plan.
Severely past due accounts may be referred to a collection agency. You will be responsible for collection fees of at least 30 percent and up to 40 percent of your outstanding balance in addition to the amount due SPU. So before that happens, please don't hesitate to contact SFS. We're here to help.
