How to participate

You can enter on Instagram and Twitter, but make sure to use both the week’s theme hashtag and #spubound hashtag to qualify. After each round, we’ll collect our favorite photos and publish an article showing the best photos from that category with a poll. Then it’s up to you to vote for your favorite! After a week, the polls will close and the photo with the most votes wins $50 to donate to a cause of their choice relevant to the photo theme. *The winner of the theme will choose the cause and SPU will donate the $50 directly to the cause of choice. Only SPU's 2020 incoming class is eligible to win.

Prizes

After a week of voting, we’ll announce which photo received the most votes. The winner of each round will win $50 to donate to a cause of their choice based on the photo theme. There will be six winners total, and each person is only eligible to win one round. However, every time you participate in the contest by submitting your photo, you’ll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $150 SPU bookstore or Amazon gift card at the end of the contest to use towards your textbooks or school supplies. So if you participate in all six rounds, your name will be entered six times into the raffle!

How to vote

After each round has finished, we’ll publish an article showing the best photos from that category, with a poll for you to vote for your favorite. If your photo is in the running, share it with your friends and family. Polls will close after one week. Anyone can vote!

Judging criteria

As you vote for your favorite photos each round, consider:

  • How well does this photo fit the theme?
  • Is the photo creative or unique?
