Ames Scholarship

At SPU, we consider a diverse community an asset. That’s why the Ames Scholarship was created to support high school graduates coming from traditionally underrepresented ethnic backgrounds.

What is an Ames Scholar?

The Ames Scholarship seeks to support students of color coming from the most underrepresented cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Learn more about the Ames Scholarship.

Scholarship award amounts vary and are renewable annually based upon meeting a minimum SPU grade point average.

We will consider students who:

  • Have cross-cultural experiences.
  • Have a desire to participate in leadership and on-campus activities.
  • Have a strong passion to pursue higher education.

There is no additional application for this scholarship. Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1.

NOTE: Students currently attending Seattle Pacific are not eligible for the Ames Scholarship.
