UCOL 1000: Thriving at SPU (2024-2025)

This course, a weekly discussion-based seminar, introduces first-year college students to learning in an academic community. This colloquium is intended to provide you with information and tools for achieving academic success at SPU. Seminar topics will include college culture and expectations, deepening study skills, balancing various demands on your time, managing stress, planning your academic pathway and courses, working with faculty, and connecting with various campus resources. Students will have the opportunity to share their own experiences with one another in these first weeks of their transition to college. Instructor's Discipline: Communication
