UCOL 1000: Stories: Identity & Belonging (2024-2025)

This course, a weekly discussion-based seminar, introduces first-year college students to learning in an academic community. In this colloquium, students will read Jeanette Winterson's Oranges are Not the Only Fruit, which explores themes of queerness, faith, religion, and religious trauma. Students will also engage in planning coursework, choosing majors and minors, laying out their academic path, working with faculty, and connecting with campus resources.
