FCS 4370: Nutrition Research (2018-2019)

Prerequisite: FCS 4330 and MAT 2360 (FCS 4330 can be taken concurrently). Reviews research methodologies in nutrition science. Students enhance their critical thinking skills through reading and evaluation of scientific publications in the field of Nutritional Sciences. Students practice and improve essential skills for writing in the discipline by synthesizing information on a recent or controversial topic in human nutrition in the form of research papers and through the use of scaffolding assignments, drafts and peer review.
