BUS 2000: Purpose and Practice of Business (2021-2022)

Business touches all aspects of society and can either create or solve social problems depending upon how it is designed to operate. This class will explore the purpose and practice of business, with an emphasis on how business can serve the social good by providing products and services, meaningful employment, and support for other institutions. Students will develop their understanding of the interrelationships between financial information systems, product development, marketing and management as they create a business plan focused on serving a real world issue of contemporary social importance.
