View all UCOL classes

This course, a weekly discussion-based seminar, introduces first-year college students to learning in an academic community. President Trump's election has revealed that American conservatism is not a unified movement. We will survey the different forms of political conservatism in contemporary America. We will then discuss the nature of coalitions and how President Trump's coalition might affect future elections. Students will also engage in planning coursework, choosing majors and minors, laying out their academic path, working with faculty, and connecting with campus resources. Instructor's Discipline: Political Science
