ENG 3318: Creative Nonfiction (2018-2019)

Prerequisite: ENG 2201 or WRI 1100 or USCH 1111 or USCH 1112 or USCH 1113. Examines the literary essay, emphasizing contemporary authors such as Diane Ackerman, Annie Dillard, and Barry Lopez; "schools" such as the new journalists and the environmental essayists; and publications such as The New Yorker and The Atlantic. Special attention will be paid to students' development as writers of nonfiction.
