GS 1007: Cultural Adjustment: Cross-Cultural Engagement (2024-2025)

Designed to provide support and guidance to international students who are new to the U.S. This course will guide students through their first quarter at SPU and the impact of American culture on social, emotional, faith, and academic systems in the U.S. Students will be required to interact and engage regularly with SPU support, resources, and activities across campus. This course is required of all undergraduate international students who have lived in the United States one year or less. It is strongly recommended for any nationality who has lived a significant part of his or her developmental years in one or more countries outside his or her passport country who can benefit from additional support in their first quarter living in the US. Typically offered: Autumn.
