You must register online for Commencement by following the directions below:

  • Log onto Banner
  • Choose "Student Menu"
  • Choose "Graduation Menu"
  • Choose "Graduation Events Sign-up"

This is also how you will request tickets both for yourself and for your family members and guests to enter Key Arena (tickets are required for entrance and can only be requested by you, the graduate). Once you have registered online, you may pick up your tickets at Student Academic Services (SAS) on the first floor of Demaray Hall. Your tickets will be available beginning Monday, April 6.

If you have any issues or concerns associated with registration or tickets for Commencement, contact Student Academic Services at 206-281-2031.

Arriving, Lining Up, and Marching

On the day of Commencement, the arena doors will open at 1:45 p.m., allowing your family and friends entrance to the seating area. Remember: You and your guests will each need a ticket to gain entrance.

Graduates must arrive at Key Arena by 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 13.

As a graduate, please enter Key Arena by 2 p.m. through Gate 4A, accessible via Thomas Street on the south side of the building. (Your guests will enter the building separately through the main west or east entrances).

Proceed immediately to the area assigned to your school, and pick up a card with your name before lining up for the processional. That card is for you to hand to the reading marshal as you cross the stage. Your name will be read from this card.

Faculty marshals will assist you in lining up for the processional onto the floor. The processional will begin at 3 p.m. The platform party and faculty march first, followed by you and other baccalaureate degree candidates.

Keep your place in line, and be sure to sit in your assigned row. You must stay with your school.

2015 Commencement Speaker: TBD

After Commencement

Meeting Family Members/Guests: After the Commencement ceremony, your family members and guests should plan to meet you on the Main Concourse or outside of the arena through the east or west doors. Family members and guests will not be allowed on the arena floor.

Suites: Private suites at Key Arena are available for rent. If your family members and guests have rented a private suite at Key Arena, you will have one hour following the end of Commencement to enjoy the suite. At the conclusion of Commencement, you can join your family members and guests in the suites by checking in with a Key Arena staff member at the suite entry area.
