General Calculators Information (for Wai's classes)

• Calculators are not allowed /needed for MAT 1228.

• For most other classes (MAT 1221, 1234, 1235, 1236, 1720, 2720, 4725), a simple scientific calculator is more than enough.

• Scientific/graphic calculators with more than 184 K combined memory (RAM/Flash ROM) or symbolic computation ability are NOT allowed (e.g.

  • TI-89, TI-92, TI-83 Plus Silver Ed (TI-83+ is ok, the Silver Edition has extra memory), TI-84 plus Silver Ed.

  • Casio FX-2.0

  • HP 38g, 39g/39g+, 40g, 48g/48gII/48g+/48gx, 49g). 

• You are expected to learn to use your calculator on your own.
• Do not store any formula / information in your calculator.
