Biochemistry professor awarded grant to study origins of life at SPU, Oxford

Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Wade Grabow received £13,500 ($18,360) to support a research project examining the nature and origin of biological information and its implications regarding the origin of life, using ribonucleic acid (RNA) as a case study.

Wade GrabowWith the grant, awarded by the Scholarship and Christianity in Oxford program of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, Grabow will attend two month-long seminars on science and religion at the University of Oxford. The grant also funds SPU’s Science and Religion Club and a student research assistant, who will work with Grabow on a book and related articles.
