spubound photo contest #myfamily

There is no doubt our families, whether they are blood related or not, are our biggest support systems in helping make the transition to college. To show them some love, we dedicated the fourth theme of the #spubound photo contest to them! The #myfamily round launched on July 29 for Seattle Pacific's 2019 incoming class.

From touring local spots in Seattle to traveling abroad with family, incoming students showed us their favorite #myfamily photos on social media, and we narrowed it down to the top five.

You voted to choose the best photo, and you chose Melanie's "Tourist fam" photo as the winner! She will receive a $25 Amazon gift card at Orientation. We’re officially more than halfway through our #spubound contest! Only THREE more themes to go!

All students who have submitted photos will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win Airpods at the end of the contest. Every photo submission per theme will count as a raffle entry.

Voting closed on Sunday, August 11 at 11:59 p.m.

Grace says: “7 years ago, on August 1st, 2012, this wonderful couple decided to embark on a journey that shaped their lives and the lives of me and my brothers. They brought David and I to Morocco for four years, where we learned what it meant to be cultured, perceptive people. We left Casablanca and settled in Florence where I discovered my passions and values as well as blossomed into the person I am now. They moved to Brazil without me :/ but luckily I get to continue my own adventure at @seattle_pacific Mom and Dad, thank you for being fearless in your pursuit of God’s calling in your lives, and for gifting me with once-in-a-lifetime experiences on a daily basis. It’s been a good 7 years.”
