"Launching Your Leadership Legacy in STEM and How to Endure"

Jovonia "Jo" Taylor is currently the 767 Chief Program Engineer for The Boeing Company in Commercial Airplane (BCA) division. She’s been in several different engineering areas over her 15 years with the company. Jo is very involved in her community. She tutors at local public schools; helps recruit graduating students for The Boeing Company; and leads worship singing at her church, Brookview Community Church. She was the company focal for the Women in Aerospace (WIA) organization for 3 years. In 2013, she was a recipient of the Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) Modern Technology Leader and in 2014, she received the Women of Color in Technology (WOCT) Award Recipient in Community Service. For her work in 2018, she will be receiving the 2019 Science Spectrum Trailblazer award at BEYA. Prior to joining the Boeing Company, Jo graduated from the University of Tulsa, completing a BS in Electrical Engineering, a BA in Music and a MS in Electrical Engineering. Since then, she has also earned an MBA in Management from Seattle Pacific University.
