Improvements Come to Royal Brougham

Falcon boosters and others will enjoy a beautiful new space in Seattle Pacific University’s Royal
Brougham Pavilion this year. The old Falcon Lounge has become the new Falcon Club — with new
flooring, ceiling, window coverings, lighting, furniture, and an open view of the basketball court. “The time had come to revitalize this space and make it a showcase for Falcon sports,” says SPU President Dan Martin.

The project was funded with gifts from longtime SPU supporters Al Hendricks ’54 and his wife
and son, Narci Hendricks and Manny Hendricks.

Slated for later this year is a renovation of the Brougham weight room, which had its last major
renovation in 1980. Outdated with inadequate design and equipment, it is the only training and injury rehabilitation facility for SPU’s 14 athletic teams and the general student body.

Plans for the space include new windows and flooring, multi-function weight machines, racks, and free weights. The renovation is being funded by donors. For information, call or email Dean Carrell at 206-281-2083 or carrell@spu.edu.
