A "Kinder to College" Visit Day

Since its inception in 1934 as the Seattle Pacific mascot, the Falcon, now called Talon, has taken many different forms, as seen in this collection of items from the SPU Archives. The mascot was chosen, according to student Felipe Zubiate, writing in the 1934 Cascade, “because of its many associations with swiftness, bravery, and fairness in battle.”
