Small group ensembles will perform a wide variety of musical styles during this special concert in Nickerson Studios on Wednesday, Mar. 13, 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and will also be livestreamed.

A message from Computer and Information Systems: CIS is in the final stages of assisting departments with migrating all their files off our retiring Matthew file server and into online storage in SharePoint. All files not migrated by the end of Winter Quarter will be placed in read-only mode over Spring Break.

Free summer camp at Casey for high school students

A message from the Casey Conference Center: Do you know high school students interested in history, science, and the great outdoors? The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation is hosting their FREE Youth Heritage Project at Camp Casey Conference Center, July 16–19, to explore Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve. Applications are due May 17. Learn more & apply.

The Faculty/Staff Bulletin is published every Monday during the academic year, or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday. The next deadline is Thursday, Mar. 14. The next issue will be published Monday, Mar. 18.

Maier's poetry collection to be published

A collection of poetry titled, The Occupant, by Professor of English Jennifer Maier will be published in 2025. This is her third collection of poems and will be published by the University of Pittsburgh Press and featured in the press’s distinguished Pitt Poetry Series for 2025. Throughout its history, the Pitt Poetry Series has provided a voice for the diversity that is American poetry, representing poets from many backgrounds without allegiance to any one school or style.

Jalalian-Chursky's article published

An article by Krystle Jalalian-Chursky, assistant professor of special education, titled "Innovative Approaches: Reflections from First-Year Special Education Teachers on the Vital Role of Mentorship and Professional Development," was published in the Washington Educational Research Association journal.

Thornberry participates in fiction forum

Jason Thornberry, office coordinator in the School of Education, will participate in a "Flash Fiction Forum" at Works/SJ Gallery in San Jose, California, on Wednesday, March 13, at 7 p.m. The gallery is a community art and performance center.
