Greg EhrlichSelf-employed Private Chef and Restaurateur

Business Administration major 2006

After touring internationally as keyboard player for soul-singer Allen Stone for five years, Ehrlich decided to pursue a full time career as a chef. Currently a private chef for an estate in Northern Idaho, he finds food to be both a creatively fulfilling medium and a relationship-building catalyst between people. While in Idaho, Ehrlich is also developing plans to launch a restaurant in the Seattle area in 2017.

How does your time at SPU connect to the work you’re doing today?

From a business standpoint, I have had the pleasure to conduct business and partner with alumni over the years. From a personal standpoint, my friends from SPU have continued to bless me tremendously with friendship, counsel, and fun.

Who made a difference in your SPU education?

Jeff Van Duzer‘s capstone business ethics class has continued to shape how I try to engage as a Christian in the business world.

What advice do you have for students about life after graduation?

Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb and do something crazy. You have the rest of your life to be normal.
