ENGLISH MAJOR� CREATIVE WRITING CONCENTRATION
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 63 total and 30 upper-division credits are required for the BA in English � Creative Writing major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	ENG 1110, 2230, 2234, 2248, or 3334 Foreign Language Competency, if required			Complete Writing Skills and Math Skills Competency requirements, as dictated by placement tests AHA, AHB, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSB, MAT (Choose one to five depending on competency courses needed)
Other				Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

Other	Apply for admission to the major. A 2.5 GPA is required, including a 2.5 in any two of the following courses: ENG 2225, 2251, 2252, 2253.			Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Major				Choose next genre course in sequence: 4316 OR 4317 OR 4318. ENG 4445, ENG 4601, ENG 4930

Other		Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned.		Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed
