| Prerequisite: EDSC 2566. Provides a basic introduction to methods for teaching science and social studies. Interdisciplinary approaches to science and social studies are encouraged as well as development of research and experience-based principles of effective practice for encouraging the intellectual, social and personal development of students. This will be carried out through a focus on inquiry-based instruction. |

| Prerequisite: Admission to School of Education. Designed to assist students in relating their understanding in various science disciplines to the practical problems of planning and implementing learning experiences for secondary students. | Prerequisite: EDSC 3200. Expands the ideas built in EDSC 3200 and provides opportunity to apply them in practice teaching. The course will build integration of concepts of healthy living into the science/social studies content. Unit and lesson plans will be developed for implementation. |
