Homecoming and Family Weekend
2018 Homecoming Weekend Roundup
Homecoming and Family Weekend was everything we wanted it to be—a time for connections between students, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff and a celebration of the SPU experience! We sold more than double the amount of All-Access Passes this year, allowing Falcons to get the most out of the weekend without breaking the bank. If you were able to make it, thank you for coming! If you weren’t, consider joining us next year. Here are a few highlights:
- Falcon Family Brunch. This year, instead of Mom’s Day and Dad’s Day, we provided a time for families to have some fun all together. Combine good food, silly games, and Talon, SPU’s mascot, and you have a pretty great party!
- Alumni Awards Dinner. This year's set of alumni award winners stole the show at this annual event, which celebrated their remarkable achievements. Their inspiring stories will be featured in the upcoming Response magazine.
- Men’s Basketball Game. Besides the fact that SPU won handily, Talon, the cheer team, and the Ante Up dance group kept the energy levels sky high! And did you see that raptor in the student section?
- Student Talent Show. The student acts at the annual Talent Show entertain and surprise, and this year was no exception. The show highlighted not only the talent and diversity of the SPU student body, but also the hard work and passion. Congrats to 1st-place winners, the SPU Step Team!
Homecoming and Family Weekend is an all-campus event with several departments adding to the fun! Tickets for each individual event are sold at the door.
Alternatively, instead of buying tickets for each event, we offer an All-Access Pass that will get you in to the basketball games, the mainstage play, and the student talent show for one fee!
Tickets for the Falcon Family Brunch and the Alumni Awards Dinner are not included in the All-Access pass and are sold separately during the registration process.
