Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 106 total and 48 upper-division credits are required for the BS in Computer Science major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				Complete Writing Skills and Math Skills Competency requirements, as dictated by placement tests

Major	CSC 3220, EE 1210	CSC 3760, MAT 3360	CSC 3221, MAT 2720

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete Foreign Language Competency, if required			AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB, NSA (Choose one to three depending on competency courses needed.)

Other	Apply for admission to the major. See Computing Sciences information page. Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Other	Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned. Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed

Major	CSC 3310 (offered alternate years)	CSC 3430 (offered alternate years)	CSC 3350 (offered alternate years) CSC 4898, EE 3280	Remaining electives in CSC numbered 4000-4850 (A total of eleven credits is required, spread between junior and senior year), CSC Project Course: CSC 4151 and 4152, CSC 4150, CSC 4760, CSC 4820, OR CSC 4970

Other	Create a final-year plan and meet with your faculty advisor for review. Electives to reach at least 180 total college-level quarter credits and 60 upper-division credits if needed
