Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 81 total and 51 upper-division credits are required for the BS in Information Systems major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

Major	CSC 1230	CSC 2430	CSC 2431, MAT 1221

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete Foreign Language Competency, if required			Complete Writing Skills and Math Skills Competency requirements, as dictated by placement tests AHA, AHB, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSB (one or two depending on competency courses needed)

Other	Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

YEAR 2	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter

Common Curriculum				UCOR 2000 UFDN 2000/3001

Major	CSC 3220	MAT 1720 (offered alternate years), CSC 3750 (offered alternate years)	CSC 3221	MAT 1360 or 2700, BUS 3620 (sophomore or junior year)

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete Foreign Language Competency, if required			AHA, AHB, AHC, SSA, NSA, NSB (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)

Other	Apply for admission to the major. See Computing Sciences information page. Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Major	CSC 3150	MAT 1720 (offered alternate years), CSC 3750 (offered alternate years)	CSC 3899	BUS 3620 (sophomore or junior year), BUS 3614 OR 4644 (junior or senior year)

Other	Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned. Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed

Major	COM 4265 (or Spring)	CSC 4410, BUS 4620	CSC 4898	BUS 3614 OR 4644 (junior or senior year), CSC 4151 and 4152 OR 4150 OR 4820

Other	Create a final-year plan and meet with your faculty advisor for review. Electives to reach at least 180 total college-level quarter credits and 60 upper-division credits if needed
