COMMUNICATION (Journalism Track) MAJOR
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 58 total and 25 upper-division credits are required for the BA in COMMUNICATION - JOURNALISM major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Many courses in the major are offered every other year.  Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete elementaryforeign language,if requirement was not fulfilled in high school. Unless you are exempt, take the Math Placement Test at least three academic quarters before you intend to take your Exploratory Curriculum math class. Complete ENG 2201, if required.			AHA, AHC, SSA, SSB, NSA, NSB, MAT (Choose one to four depending on competency courses needed.)
Other				Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed
