ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MAJOR
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 130 total and 64-68 upper-division credits are required for the BS in Electrical Engineering major.

This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline.
Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

YEAR 1	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter

Common Curriculum	USEM 1000 - Be Part of the Solution	UCOR 1000 OR UFDN 1000	UCOR 1000 OR UFDN 1000

Major	EE 1210, EGR 3402 - for transfers , MAT 1234	CSC 1230, EGR 1125 (see calculus rqmt), MAT 1235	CSC 2430, EGR 1125 (see calculus rqmt) MAT 1236

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)

Other	Schedule an appointment with an engineering professor to review your planned schedule. Students must take the engineering USEM "Be Part of the Solution" or EGR 1402 to meet major requirements. (USCH students should take EGR 1402.) Students who earn a grade of C or lower in Calculus I in Autumn Quarter, or who register for Calculus I in Winter Quarter are required to register for EGR 1125 (Engineering Study Preparation) in Winter Quarter. Students who earn a grade of C or lower in either Calculus I or Calculus II in Winter Quarter are required to register for EGR 1125 (Engineering Study Preparation) in Spring Quarter.			Alternative scheduling options are available. Consult with an engineering professor for more information.

YEAR 2	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter

Common Curriculum				UCOR 2000 UFDN 2000/3001

Major	EE 2726, MAT 2401, PHY 1121	EE 2727, PHY 1122, MAT 3237,	EE 3028, PHY 1123, MAT 3238

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete Foreign Language Competency, if required. Complete ENG 2201, if required.			AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB, NSA (Complete at least five credits.)

Other	Apply for admission to the major. A 2.5 GPA is required.

YEAR 3	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter

Common Curriculum				UCOR 3000 UFDN 3100

Major	EE 3550, EE 3721, EE 3000	EE 3722, EE 3760, EE 3410	EE 3280, EE 3730, EGR 2200	Begin working toward technical elective requirement. (Consult with your faculty advisor for appropriate course selection to meet this requirement.)

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB, NSA (Complete at least five credits.)

Other	Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned. Create a final-year plan and meet with your faculty advisor for review.

YEAR 4	Autumn	Winter	Spring	Any Quarter

Common Curriculum				UCOR 3000 UFDN 3100

Major	EE 4211, EE 3315, EGR 4940	EE 4212	EE 4899	Complete technical elective requirement. (Consult with your faculty advisor for appropriate course selection to meet this requirement.)

Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete Foreign Language Competency, if required			AHA, AHB, SSA, SSB, NSA (Complete at least fifteen credits.)

Other	EGR 4910 (recommended)
