ECONOMICS MAJOR
Suggested Course Sequence: A Four-Year Plan

At least 70 total and 38 upper-division credits are required for the BA in Economics major. This course sequence is meant to be used as a guideline. Consult with your faculty advisor or academic counselor about modifying this plan to meet your needs, and to reflect any coursework you have already completed prior to enrolling at SPU.

Major				Take CSC 1123 or prove spreadsheet proficiency before taking MAT 2700, ECN 2101 ECN 2102, GEO 1110 OR POL 1110 OR POL 1120
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)	Complete elementaryforeign language,if requirement was not fulfilled in high school. Unless you are exempt, take the Math Placement Test early fall quarter in preparation for MAT 2700. Complete ENG 2201, if required.			AHA, AHB, AHC, SSA, NSA, NSB (Choose one or two depending on competency courses needed.)
Other				Electives to reach at least 45 credits if needed

Major				ACCT 2361, BUS 2600
Competencies Exploratory Curriculum (EC)				AHA, AHB, AHC, SSA, NSA, NSB (whichever categories remain unfulfilled)
Other	Apply for admission to the major. A 2.7 GPA is required, as is completion of BUS 1700 or its equivalent, and 15 credits in SBE courses.			Electives to reach at least 90 credits if needed

Major	ECN 3102		ECN 3101	BUS 3700, ECN 4310 OR POL 3320; 15 credits of Economics electives: ECN 2207, 3231, 3318, 3321, 3635, 3640, 4641, 4642, GEO 3500

Other	Apply to graduate once 105 credits and admission to major have been earned.			Electives to reach at least 135 credits if needed
