Elementary School Visit Elementary School Visit Program Expands in Its 11th Year
When Ed Adams first began teaching PE at Dearborn Park Elementary School in Seattle, he asked the kids what they did on their visits to local colleges and universities. The reports were often less enthusiastic than hoped. Learn what he did about it.

SPU Master's in School Counseling Receives CACREP Accreditation
The Master of Education in School Counseling program has been granted initial national accreditation through the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This specialized accreditation honor recognizes high academic standards and excellence in teaching in the School Counseling Program at Seattle Pacific University. SPU Programs Earn Exemplary Rating from PESB
The Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) recently reapproved preparation programs at SPU, recognizing teacher and counselor programs as exemplary in the area of knowledge and skills. Find out why that's so important.

PhysTEC SOE Wins PhysTEC's "The 5+ Club Award"
This year SPU's School of Education received a special commendation from the Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC) for its record of educating future physics teachers. The 5+ Club Award is given to schools that graduate five or more physics teachers in a given year. How many others have received similar honors?
