Beginning Autumn Quarter 2009, incoming University Scholars must complete the math requirement in the Exploratory Curriculum.
Students who do not complete the requirement through an SPU course fulfill the requirement through the transfer of an approved course from another post-secondary institution or an approved standardized testing program.
The approved testing programs and courses are as follows:
Advanced Placement (AP)
Calculus AB (with a score of 4 or 5)
Calculus BC (with a score of 4 or 5)
Statistics (with a score of 4 or 5)
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Calculus
College mathematics
Note: Courses taken at another school after a student begins at SPU need pre-approval from an academic counselor.
