Email Newsletter Links Alumni and Their Alma Mater
SPU Connections
Ever lose track of a recipe? In the Winter 2009 issue of Connections, Seattle Pacific University's e-newsletter for alumni, a former student was reunited with a favorite cookie recipe from one of her beloved home economics professors.
Ever lose track of a classmate? Every issue of Connections reconnects former students with their classmates, professors, and the latest developments at their alma mater.
Now more than a year old, Connections is a communiqué for alumni who want to keep closer contact with SPU. Quarterly issues feature alumni stories as well as the latest news about athletics, arts, and events, and links to featured podcasts.
The Spring 2009 menu included an item about a newly published account of the life of alumnus Jacob DeShazer '48, a story on the way Facebook is transforming Homecoming and Family Weekend, and job-search tips. Readers learned which Seattle Pacific graduate helped raise more than $1 million to help the people of Belize.
And the connection goes two ways. Once you've caught up on the news, learn how you can share your own story with classmates, and how you can get involved with alumni and campus programs.
Connections arrives in your email box quarterly. If you've missed any recent issues, find them at advance.spu.edu/alumni/email/archives.asp. For more information or to be included on the email list for future issues, alumni may contact alumni@spu.edu.
