Prayer and Communion

Throughout the year, the SPU community celebrates the Lord's Supper, or the Eucharist, in our campus worship services.

In the midst of busy lives we all need space to breathe and reorient. During the Fall and Spring quarters, members of the SPU community gather to do this through a simple service of Prayer and Communion. A different ordained member of the staff or faculty leads the congregation in a liturgy of prayer and confession that concludes with participation in the Lord’s Supper. Our communion leaders also offer a brief reflection based on a selected text from the Revised Common Lectionary, focusing on themes related to worship, discipleship, and reconciliation. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate God's faithfulness, pray on behalf of needs throughout the world, and remember our identity as Kingdom people.
