College of Arts and Sciences
In the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at Seattle Pacific University, we offer undergraduate majors and minors in 16 different disciplines, as well as a graduate program. As home to humanities, arts, and social and natural sciences, CAS provides students with a foundation of liberal learning and skills in reasoning, critical thinking, and communication.
Central to the mission of CAS is contributing to the formation of a mature Christian faith and the development of the whole person. As a graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, you are prepared for a life of continued learning and responsiveness to a changing world.
The College of Arts and Sciences offers students a choice of 54 majors and 37 minors. The CAS also includes the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.

The College of Arts and Sciences is excited to welcome Dr. Margaret Watkins as the new dean. In addition to overseeing CAS, she is also a Professor of Philosophy.

Med School Acceptance Rates
Over the last five years, SPU premed students have achieved an average acceptance rate into medical school of 90 percent — far exceeding the 39 percent national average.
