Ross Stewart's teaching areas include first-year Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Theory and Social Venture Planning. He was Faculty Teacher of the Year at Seattle Pacific University in 2009. He was named the sixth Dean of the SPU School of Business, Government, and Economics in 2016.
Dr. Stewart consults on curriculum, accounting education, and business. He has educational experience in New Zealand, China, United Kingdom, Kenya, Canada, and the United States. He was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in 2012 in Kenya.
Dr. Stewart's publications and research interests include historical case studies, based on archival material; examining the development of accounting in its immediate organizational and broader business/environmental contexts; the study of the broad social, ethical, political, and theological contexts of accounting; accounting pedagogy; and social ventures.
