Library Media Endorsement (P–12)

Coursework for the Library Media Endorsement is completed in partnership with Highline College. Students must apply at Highline and receive a student ID number before they can register for classes; additional fees may apply.

The Library Media Endorsement requires 32 total credits, and the following courses are offered through Highline College:

The following courses must be taken through SPU:

EDLR 5043 Instructional Leadership as a School Library Media Specialist (4)

EDCN 5730 Field Experience/PPA* (5)


*Before you can enroll in the Field Experience/PPA, passing scores must be received at SPU for the WEST-E test. You should plan to take the test early enough to allow scores to be reported to SPU prior to the intended quarter for the Field Experience. For dates and registration, visit
