What are “enterprise software systems”?
“Enterprise software systems” are server-based applications used to conduct business at the University. Services provided by enterprise software are typically business-oriented tools such as online registration, shopping, and payment processing, as well interactive course catalogs, automated billing systems, security, content management, IT service management, customer relationship management, resource planning, business intelligence, HR management, manufacturing, application integration, and forms automation.
At SPU, the core of our enterprise software is our Banner ERP. Banner houses all the information about students, academics, financial aid, payroll, finance, and human resources. It also provides the online tools such as class registration and viewing/managing information about students and staff. Banner feeds information into several other EAS systems such as Recruitment Plus, Raiser’s Edge, and Blackboard.
