The stacks of boxes in my office and my home are a sure indicator that this wonderful season of serving as president of Seattle Pacific University is drawing to a close. What a privilege it has been for Sharon and me to be a part of this community for nearly 17 years.
Less than two weeks ago, I handed out diplomas once again, watching our remarkable graduates parade across the Commencement stage. Some of you were there, celebrating a son or daughter. And some of you are a few years away from that milestone, but, believe me, it will be here before you know it.
Students are at the heart of what we do at Seattle Pacific, and I thank you for entrusting these wonderful young men and women to us. I’m so proud of our students, and I’m confident that Seattle Pacific — both now and in the future — will prepare them well to make a difference all across the globe. Thank you for your partnership with us as we seek to engage the culture and change the world.
May God bless you,
Philip W. Eaton
President
