Welcome to Sharpen
Sharpen is a ministry for all SPU students that live off-campus or in the Campus Houses and Apartments (CHA). We want students to feel connected!
We strive to bridge those gaps by providing relational opportunities: eating together, living together, studying together, worshiping together, playing together. Here is some of what we do:
Every week, all off-campus and CHA students are invited to join us for a free lunch following the weekly Gather service. Every Lunch features gluten free and vegetarian options. Lunch is served at the Kingswood House, 303 W. Dravus St. (email Bill Berry at email@example.com)
Any off-campus student is welcome to bring a dish and join in as a group of students opens up their home. There is budget available for any students who want to host a potluck (email Anna at firstname.lastname@example.org).
Sharpen has a series of small groups available to all off-campus and CHA students. To get connected to one of these groups, please email one of our small group leaders:
Joshua McBrayer (email@example.com)
Kristi Holley (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Taylor Hallgrimson (email@example.com)
Steve Hutchinson (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Community Bible Study:
Sharpen is supporting SPU's Center for Biblical and Theological Education's by promoting an opportunity to provide a unique time of biblical instruction, spiritual reflection, and multi-generational small group discussion for SPU and the surrounding community.
