Outside Scholarships

Below you’ll find many of the scholarships available to SPU students from outside agencies and organizations. You can browse through all of them, or search using specific keywords.

These scholarships include:

ABC Fundraising Scholarship

Annual Oberto Students Contest

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,500-$20,000
  • Available to: Students of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity who are US citizens or eligible non-citizens. Students must be enrolling as an undergraduate in a college or university in the Fall of 2018 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 or earned a GED. Strong consideration for students who live at or below the poverty level and are the first to attend college in their family.

Aspiring Physician Award

  • Amount: $5,000
  • Available to: Students who are currently enrolled in premed or other undergraduate science programs. Must have cumulative GPA of 3.75.

Atlanta Car Accident Lawyers 2018 Community Service Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Available to: Incoming first-year college students and undergraduate and graduate students. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA and community service experience.

Feathr Wallpaper Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Available to: Current or prospective arts, performing arts, humanities or design student at an accredited United States university or college.

Ford Foundation Fellowships

  • Amount: One year stipends ranging from $25,000 to $45,000.
  • Available to: Predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellows committed to a career in teaching and research at the college or university level. Must be US citizens or eligible non-citizen.

Student Veterans Scholarships

  • Available to: Student veterans as proven by a DD 214 and transcript and have received an honorable discharge, or be in good standing with his/her branch of service.   • Amount: $1,000
  • Available to: Applicants must have graduated from a Washington State high school, be enrolled in a college of education pursuing a career in a field of education, and profess a strong desire to teach in Washington State. The college they are attending does not have to be in Washington State.

Wells Fargo Scholarship Program for People with Disabilities

  • Amount: $2,500
  • Available to: Applicants who have an identified disability (defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term or recurring issue that impacts one or more major life activity). Student must be a high school senior or graduate who plans to enroll or who is already enrolled in full-time or half-time(at least 6 credits per term) in an undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college.

Washington Women In Need Education Grant

  • Amount: $5000 Grantees are eligible to apply for one additional $5,000 grant, up to a maximum of $10,000 in total WWIN funding.
  • Available to: Women, 18 years or older, resided in Washington for the past 12 months, US citizen or permanent citizen, admitted in an approved college or university, enrolled in a specific program, low income (see website criteria).
