Expanding skills
At Seattle Pacific University’s Art Center (SPAC), students can pursue four minors — Art: Digital Media, Art: Photography, Art: Studio, and Art: Visual Studies — with each enriching academic pathways through creative exploration and skill development in the visual arts.
These programs are ideal to pair with majors in business, communication, education, or technology as a means to integrate artistic thinking into students' work.
Whether students are exploring the historical and cultural significance of visual culture, building technical proficiency in photography and video, engaging with studio practices, or developing digital fluency, these minors provide a flexible, enriching way to expand creative skills. Students in the Art and Design major can also use a minor to refine focus in areas such as digital tools, photography, studio arts, or visual culture analysis.
