It's easy to find examples of uncivil behavior in our public life. Disgruntled drivers, rude online commenters, strident media face-offs, and other interpersonal bad behavior has become the norm, ranging from rude to violent. So where are our table manners? What might the biblical call to “live peaceably with all” (Romans 12:18) look like in our world today?
Members of Seattle Pacific University's faculty and staff from different disciplines are examining ways to pursue a more peaceful, less hostile way of life. Taking examples from current events, technology, the movies, family relationships, and global Christianity, they challenge us to bridge our differences in ways that don't alienate others, but bring them together.
