About Information and Data Management at SPU

The Office of Information and Data Management's mission is to develop information and data management functions to directly assist and support strategic priorities set by the President's Cabinet to achieve long-term educational, enrollment, fund-raising, positioning and other strategic goals. IDM supporting strategies include:

  • The analysis, interpretation, reporting and retention of institutional data to
    support decisions and planning in academic programs, outcomes assessment, enrollment, fund-raising, and research development. IDM creates meaning and understanding of the information by providing summative analysis along with data.
  • Providing a single source of reliable and timely information to central administration through the creation of an Executive Decision Data Base (warehouse) and is the basis for analysis for President's Cabinets strategic initiatives.
  • Providing better business intelligence by increasing access to strategic information via the web.
