About

The Photography program is a creative art program that aims to graduate highly competent photographers with a broad range of media skills including photography, video, post-production and lighting. These skills are practiced through the development of projects that consider the history of the photograph and its role in culture production.

Who the program is for

Photography majors are driven to interpret the world through pictures. At Seattle Pacific, students are trained to translate their ideas into visual form. Through a rigorous creative practice, you will learn not just how to see, but how to think with photography as you investigate a continually evolving medium.

Students who have studied Photography at SPU have gone on to pursue graduate school, work as commercial and editorial photographers, exhibit as artists, and become working design professionals, filmmakers and digital creators.
