Alumni, Parent, and Family Relations

You’re an important part of the Seattle Pacific University community, and you have several ways to connect to fellow alumni, to SPU parents, and to the University.

Whether you’re trying to reconnect with a former classmate, do some career networking, or ask about an upcoming alumni event, you’ll find a way to connect here.

When you attended Seattle Pacific University, you found a vibrant community that is all about learning and connecting with others who want to engage the culture and change the world. That’s why it’s not surprising to us that, years later, you are still involved in those groups that interest you.

From our oldest club on campus, the Falconettes (service since 1936), to the broad range of academic departments such as the School of Health Sciences and the School of Business, Government, and Economics that reunite yearly, Alumni Networks are here for you. Find your network and plunge right in. Our alumni networks are growing; your participation helps them thrive!

Alumni groups
Falcon Alumni Network (FAN)

If you consider yourself a “fan” of Seattle Pacific University, you might just be a candidate to join FAN — the Falcon Alumni Network. We are gathering volunteers to join FAN, a joint effort of SPU’s Office of Alumni and Parent Relations and Office of Undergraduate Admissions. From across the U.S. and around the world, FAN members can connect with prospective Seattle Pacific students, talk about their own experiences as students, and answer questions from high school students and their families.

Do you want to volunteer through FAN? Contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 206-281-ALUM or alumni@spu.edu.

Falconettes

There are many ways the Falconettes continue the fellowship of membership, service, and mutual inspiration. These include contact with and encouragement of missionary members (currently 21 Falconettes serve as missionaries around the world). Alumnae Falconettes also gather funds to support active alumni missionaries and current Falconette students, and maintain an endowment fund to support both student scholarships and missionaries in service. Find out more about the Falconettes.

Centurions

Centurions is a group of senior men devoted to Christian community and the service such identity demands. The group’s desire is to reconnect with Centurion alumni worldwide and seek their wisdom as life and career mentors.

The Centurions award the “The Roy Swanstrom Distinguished Centurion Award” yearly, which honors an SPU Centurion alumnus who personifies the qualities, principles, and values that the Centurions stand for, in both their personal and their professional lives beyond the SPU community. The recipient of this award will have demonstrated rigorous servant leadership, devout Christian character, and the qualities of a true gentleman.

Do you want to reconnect with your fellow Centurions, meet the current group, or nominate a Centurion for the Swanstrom award? Contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 206-281-ALUM or alumni@spu.edu.

UScholars

Perhaps beyond any other program, the UScholars program challenges scholars to live out their faith within the academic environment. We offer UScholar alumni opportunities to come back to campus, take part in lecture series, and connect with current scholars. Topics for lectures will be in the spirit of the University Scholars program, which is to engage in thoughtful critical discussions that are central to a Christian liberal arts education and that enliven body, mind, and soul.

Do you want to reconnect with UScholars or learn about upcoming lecture series? Contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 206-281-ALUM or alumni@spu.edu.

Sigma Rho

What started in 1937 as informal gatherings of a few graduates from the home economics program is now a society of nearly 100 women dedicated to the support of students in Family and Consumer Sciences. Some of the members have been loyal to the University through Sigma Rho for more than 60 years. Sigma Rho continues to support SPU activities, and the Sigma Rho Scholarship Endowment provides scholarships each year to qualified students.

Do you want to be a part of Sigma Rho and help students realize their educational goals? Contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 206-281-ALUM or alumni@spu.edu.
