From the President

Daniel J. Martin

I am happy to share with you the Year in Review, which commemorates the endeavors and successes of the alumni, students, faculty, and staff of Seattle Pacific University. It highlights how this University is impacting our neighborhood, region, and world, bringing hope and faith for the future.

At SPU, we remain committed to academic rigor. We were once again ranked as a “Best National University” by U.S. News & World Report because our dedicated faculty invest in the lives of our students through personal support, research opportunities, and dynamic instruction. The SPU faculty work hard to meet the needs of every student so each one can achieve their goals and use their gifts for the greater good.

As a Christ–centered university, we strive to be of service to our community as an extension of our faith — from helping our homeless neighbors to supporting families facing autism. We are called to see the dignity in all people and contribute to increasing compassion, understanding, and reconciliation.

I hope that you will join me in praying for and celebrating SPU as you read these stories. We are grateful for the blessings of another year of ample opportunities to learn, serve, and grow as a faith-led and grace-filled community.
