Experience university life at Urban Preview!

Urban Preview is a free overnight event for Junior and Senior High School students who are from groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education.  At Urban Preview students will be given the opportunity to visit classes, spend the night in a residence hall, and learn about SPU’s admissions process, financial aid, and more.  Join us at

Event Information

We are looking for students who are:

  • Juniors and Seniors in High School
  • First generation, students of color and/or students from diverse High Schools
  • Serious about college and curious about diversity at SPU
  • Interested in experiencing life as a SPU student

Waiver – All students applying must submit a signed event waiver (PDF) by mail, fax, or email by October 11th.  If you are 17 years old or younger, a Parent/Guardian must fill out this waiver on your behalf.

Lodging – You will be hosted by a current SPU student in one of our residence halls.

Parents – Parents, we recognize you play a huge role in the college decision-making process. You are more than welcome to join us November 4th for various sessions, including some parent-specific programing!

Parents traveling with their student can stay in nearby hotels.
