Parents

Welcome, Parents!

We understand that one of the biggest decisions you will make as a family is where your son or daughter will go to college. With so many excellent universities to choose from, each with its own strengths, the variables appear astronomical. Where do you even start?

We’re here to help you.

Below you’ll find more information and links to some of the tools we offer. If at any point you have specific (or general, for that matter) questions, feel free to contact us by phone or email, and we’ll be happy to help you.

Resources and Support for Your Student

SPU tradition is founded on nearly a century and a quarter of taking care of our students in every way possible:

The Parent Guidebook (PDF) from this last year’s Orientation provides an invaluable overview of all the services and resources available to students and parents; important dates to remember; and more.

Visiting Campus

A visit to campus is always worth the trip. Whether your student attends a scheduled visit event or arranges an individual visit, we invite you and your student to campus to get a sense of what we’re all about at SPU. To make the visit even more worthwhile, now we offer a Visit Scholarship ($500 for in-state students and $1,000 for out-of-state students) if your student attends an on-campus Admissions-sponsored event between now and May 1, 2017, then enrolls full-time for Autumn Quarter 2017.

Scholarships, Grants, and Financial Aid

Are you feeling anxious about the financing of your student’s college education? Fear not! Find out all you need to know about Scholarships and Financial Aid, and try our Net Price Calculator.
