Transferring Graduate Coursework?

You may be able to apply previously completed graduate-level coursework toward your MDiv or certificate.

  • Coursework must be relevant and completed within approved time limits
  • Credits must be formally evaluated
  • MDiv students must complete a minimum number of credits at SPU, including the final 15 credits

If you already hold a master’s degree, you may pursue a second master’s if it represents a distinct specialization and meets credit requirements.

Admission Status Information

Applicants who do not fully meet GPA or prerequisite requirements may be considered for:

  • Probationary Admission
  • Provisional Admission

Students admitted under these categories:

  • May enroll in up to 9 approved graduate credits
  • Must earn grades of B or better within 12 months
  • No more than 9 credits may apply toward a degree
